Weihnachts Markt in Germany

Many people’s ideal of a Christmas market is a collection of wooden stalls selling nutcrackers, mulled wine and fried sausage, preferably on a cobbled square framed by half-timbered houses. This ought to be accompanied by a band playing Silent Night, though not too loudly, gentle snowflakes and a tastefully decorated fir tree in the center.

Is the opening paragraph of the German magazin Spiegel and indeed it reminded me fondly of the Weihnachts Markt back in Germany. Funny thing is that in later years they annoyed me as they were always crowded and overpriced. I haven’t been to one in over 15 years since living in the US. But google-ing for some pics made them for sure appealing again and maybe even worth a trip back to Germany to hang out with my family next year.

I am also thinking about a new challenge that I would like to take on, a kind of hack maybe something related to travel, food, or shopping.

My food intake was well lets say very saturated with sugary treats that were around me Since I was out of my favorite mini sweet potato protein bars, I did not have a line of defense.
