Preparing for the Lake Geneva race

Another great day to paddle, this time we started in the afternoon and paddled into the darkness. Today I practiced the racing stroke, getting on and off the board during the race, and another couple of times getting back onto the board from the deep water. While we were practicing turns, Karl says: “Just jump back on the board, it will make the turning so much easier.” Me: “What? I am glad I can just stand and balance on the board, jumping would be really stretching it.”

Food was good. Had to test the snickers protein bar and its pretty darn tasty.

Lake Michigan is usually not that boat busy, but today it looked like everyone took their boat out and was having a party. and they made a lot of extra waves.
