Today I had finally the time to try out the whole egg coffee. Verdict? Not worth it, didn’t do much for me! I rather do the BPC (bulletproof coffee). It didn’t even feel like that I had a great coffee, while with the BPC is usually my only cup of coffee for the day then.
Primal whole egg coffee
1 cup coffee
2 pastured eggs
1 tsp sugar
Pinch of salt
1 cup coffee
1 tsp MCT oil
1 tbsp grass-fed, unsalted butter like Kerrygold
Mix it all in a blender for 20-30 seconds until it is frothy like a foamy latte. It tastes great and prolongs your fasting time in the morning.
While i enjoy it once in a while, I would not recommend to drink it every morning. I had blood tests done a while into it back when I was doing the Primal Blueprint, the cholesterol stayed low but the triglycerides where a lot higher then before. It does give you a good amount of energy and makes you feel good.
Today – yummy foods, no disruptions.
Meal prep is quick as I am getting my second week meal delivery from the Urban Caveman. I only had to make my PWO meals and breakfasts.
The menu for the next week is:
BCLT – BLT salad with fresh spring greens, chicken, crumbled bacon, sliced avocado, roasted cherry tomatoes and a basil vinaigrette.
Lemon Chicken & Root Vegetables – A brightly flavored lemon chicken served with a medley of root vegetables.
All Star Burger: A Wisconsin grass-fed beef burger, fresh lettuce, tomatoes and onion. Served with hand-cut cracked pepper sweet potato fries.
Chicken Tikka Masala – with curry-roasted vegetables and sautéed cauliflower rice.
Toasted Pecan & Chicken – Toasted pecan and Swiss chard salad with chicken, bacon, and a house-made vinaigrette.
Pesto Chicken – Oregano crusted chicken thighs with pesto served with a blend of roasted vegetables, mushrooms and onions.
Texas Style BBQ Pork – Slow cooked pork served with crunchy cole slaw and paired with a honey-balsamic BBQ sauce.
